The Erath Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is offering a free Homeowner Turfgrass Program to help you with the aesthetics and management of your lawn. Topics will include: pre-emergence, soil fertility, mowing heights and much, much more. The new Erath County Master Gardeners will be present to highlight some of the things that they have learned through the 60+ hours of training that they received last fall.
There will also be time at the end of the program for you to ask questions that pertain to your lawn and to get answers.
The Turfgrass seminar is for all homeowners. It will be held on Friday, Feb. 17, from 2-4 p.m. at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research Center at the corner of Hwy 281 and the Lingleville Highway.
Guest speakers will be Dr. Hennen Cummings, (Assistant Professor, Former Director of Turfgrass Management, Executive Sultan of the Hydrotron, Tarleton State University); Erath County Master Gardeners (to be introduced at the program) and Lonnie Jenschke, (County Extension Agent, Ag/Natural Resources, Erath County).
