This week the E-T is featuring a small poodle mix named Scamp who is currently up for adoption at the Erath County Humane Society.

“We do not know how old he is,” Ricky Breneman, ECHS employee, said. “He is crate-trained and he’s very well-mannered.”

Scamp was picked up as a stray in the 800 block of Long Street on Aug. 5, and brought to the shelter.

“He will probably need to be an inside dog because he does know how to climb a chainlink fence,” Breneman said. “He has energy when we take him outside and then when he comes back in he goes to sleep. He can chill out when he needs to.”

Scamp is not currently neutered, but does seem to be housebroken.

“He might need some refreshing on that but he’s pretty well house trained,” Breneman said.

The Erath County Humane Society has many lovable dogs and cats up for adoption, so if you’re looking to add a furry friend to your family make a trip to the shelter from 1-5 p.m. Mondays through Friday or from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturdays.
