E-T Staff Report

The 2009-10 hunting season will be in full swing on Sept. 1. For anyone concerned about the lack of rain, avid hunter Calvin Hudson said not to worry.

“Weather does have an affect, but I’ve seen good antlers and the bird population is holding its own,” Hudson said. “Water availability could get critical in some areas, but recent rains have really helped green things up. We’ve been fortunate in Erath County.”
