STEPHENVILLE —Tarleton State Football continues to climb in the national rankings, rising to 14th in both of the prominent FCS ranking systems, announced on Monday. The Texans climbed two spots in each poll from No. 16. The Texans, now ranked No. 14 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll with 308 points, jumped ahead of Incarnate Word, who had an open week, and Sacramento State, who lost at Northern Arizona. A national media panel selects the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll. A first-place vote is worth 25 points, a second-place vote 24 points, all the way down to one point for a 25th-place vote. In the AFCA FCS Coaches Poll, the Texans rose to No. 14 with 315 points, surpassing Sacramento State and Illinois State, who lost to North Dakota State.
