It’s a meme and a longstanding joke that if you go to a therapist, you will be asked after every statement, “How does that make you feel?”. I remember my supervisor watching one of my first therapy sessions as an intern and during our discussion of it, he pointed out that I had asked that very question, and invited me to think deeply about what it implied.

Morgan Mill ISD free and reduce priced meals

The Morgan Mill ISD announced today it will continue its policy to operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2022-23 school year. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge and eliminate the collection of meal applications for free, reduced- price, and paid student meals. This new approach reduces burdens for both families and school administrators and helps ensure that students receive nutritious meals.

Being Stretched

I have a question. Now, for all you maletypes out there, please forgive me for asking this. I’m sure to you, it will seem like a stupid question. But as I watch my son’s fascination with one particular, everyday object, I am reminded of countless little boys and big boys I’ve known who have had this same fascination. Leadership Stepheville class of 2022 graduates after challenging season

The Leadership Stephenville Class of 2020 kicked off in the fall of 2019 with a team building day on the Tarleton Challenge Course followed by programs covering city government, county government and nonprofit organizations. The spring of 2020 put a hitch in the plans for the class when the COVID outbreak caused extended closures. After numerous virtual sessions, scheduling and cancelling and then rescheduling of program days to ensure the class was able to benefit from in-person behind the scenes tours of major community partners, the class finally concluded their year and beyond of leadership development and community education.

Omicron reset things in at least two ways. First, it had a spike protein that was immunologically very different from the previous variants. This meant that it was unaffected by most of the vaccines and antibody treatments that had been effective for previous variants, because these were directed against the spike portion of the viral particle. The immunologic changes were signifi cant enough that even people who were healthy and had been triple- vaccinated in addition to having recovered from COVID were not immune. That’s bad.
