Things I Don’t Understand

A couple of weeks ago, my husband said words I've dreaded hearing. "Sometime in the next year or two, we need to find you another car." I know. Most people would be thrilled at the prospect of a newer car, but I love my Prius. She's candy-apple red, has leather seats and seat warmers, and she gets great mileage.

Flu, RSV and Other Bad Colds

Nothing has been the same since COVID hit in 2020, and this year we are having an unusual amount of illness due to influenza and bad colds. All of these respiratory illnesses become more prevalent as the weather cools, and usually the number of office visits for flulike symptoms begins to rise during October. Typically, by sometime during November or early December about 2.5% of all office visits to a healthcare provider are because of flu-like symptoms.
