I’m writing this on Wednesday night and I have been praying for the Women’s Bible Study that meets tonight. I am praying that information would become transformation.

I was angry, frustrated and successfully taking one step forward and five steps back. Add to all that I was tired.

Are you a sender or a receiver? Are you a listener or talker? You realize, of course, that talking and sharing information is more than just listening to your head rattle as you spew forth a mountain of words that have no relevance.

Summer is about to drop. A lot of churches shut down during the summer which is the opposite of what we saw back in the day.

I’ve been teaching out of I Timothy on Sunday morning and last Sunday we bumped into the Apostle Paul’s words concerning prayer to this youngish pastor named Timothy who was stuck in Ephesus. Listen to what the Apostle said in chapter 2 verse 1, “First of all, then I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings be made for all people.” That’s a fancy way to say, “Timothy, prayer must be a priority.

One interesting thing about weather in North Texas is: if you don't like it, hang around for a minute and it will change. The thunderstorm appeared out of nowhere and with a ferocity that caught everyone off guard it lashed out, short of violent.

I recently shared that I’ve cut way back on my coffee intake. This has been a good choice for my sleep schedule.

With the recent rains in North Texas, the weeds have suddenly just taken hold of our yards, gardens, and pastures. In some places they are waist high. We have gone from no rain to lots of rain and lots of weeds.

I’ve got a friend who's a famous celebrity type pastor. He’s on television and the radio every day and if I told you his name you would probably know who he is.
