There comes a point in time when we suddenly realize we cannot do it all on our own. There are just some mountains to high, some gorges to deep and some challenges and circumstances too big for us to carry.

I’m not a fan of the holiday season. I’m a cross between Scrooge and the Grinch. I’m not bragging, I’m confessing.

According to the weather lady, this weekend is one of the last chances I’ll have to swim. It’s supposed to be in the upper 90s on Sunday, but after that, we’ll see highs in the 60s and 70s.

It's your turn to make a ripple in the water. You can make a difference! Your thoughts, everything you do, every action you take makes a difference in some form or fashion! It is like throwing stones into still water and watching the rippling effects as each little, tiny wave moves across the still water.

It’s easy to compare our lives to the lives of others and social media even encourages it. Someone said, “Comparison is the thief of joy.” The danger of comparison is that it can lead us to feelings of anxiety, inadequacy and dissatisfaction.

Since she was a little baby girl, she had loved the sand and dirt. Her mom would take her out of the stroller and sit her on the ground. There was nothing she loved better than digging her toes into the deep, dark earth and letting the dirt run through her fingers.
