ATLANTA – A nuclear power plant being built in Georgia is now projected to cost its owners more than $30 billion. A financial report from one of the owners on Friday clearly pushed the cost of Plant Vogtle near Augusta past that milestone, bringing its total cost to $30.34 billion That amount doesn’t count the $3.68 billion that original contractor Westinghouse paid to the owners after going bankrupt, which would bring total spending to more than $34 billion.

DALLAS — The FBI Dallas Field Office is warning parents and caregivers about a rise in nationwide incidents involving the sextortion of teenagers over the Internet. The FBI is receiving an increasing number of reports of adults on social media and online gaming systems, posing as adolescents, who coerce children to produce sexual images and videos, and then extort money from them.
Voters within the Stephenville Independent School District rejected both of SISD's propositions totaling $75 million in Saturday's election, according to unofficial results. The first — asking for $50 million for the construction of a football stadium — failed by a margin of 1,344 to 1,604.
