CAT OF THE WEEK: PRIM

Prim is a 2-year-male domestic shorthair. He was a little shy at first, but has warmed up to shelter staff and loves to greet people when they come up to his kennel. Good with other cats. He doesn’t like sudden movements and will run and hide if scared. Other than a spraying issue, his previous owner said he was a wonderful cat that is very friendly and sweet. He has been neutered since he came in so it may have stopped that issue. Prim is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped and litterbox trained. For more information or to adopt Prim, contact the Erath County Humane Society at (254) 965-3247. Erath County Humane Society

DOG OF THE WEEK: ODIN

Odin is a 2-year-old male American Pit Bull Terrier. He is a very sweet boy that was brought in as a stray. He is a BIG baby who loves attention and will let out a big ole cry to get it. He loves snuggles and will cuddle up on the couch with you for hours. He walks well on a leash and sits when told. He has not shown any aggression toward other animals since he has been at the shelter, but a meet and greet is recommended if you have other dogs. He does well with cats, kids and livestock. He is very well behaved, but does suffer from separation anxiety and can be destructive when left alone. He will need some time, patience and lots of love to help with his anxiety. Odin is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative and on prevention. Odin has been at ECHS since 3/3/22. For more information or to adopt him, contact the ECHS at (254) 965-3247.
