The program for the November meeting of the Bosque River Chapter of Daughters of the Republic of Texas was presented by chapter member Sheran Weible of Dublin. She researches clothing from various periods of history and sews many garments herself.

On the quest to raising good humans, I realize that most people tend to use the holidays as a teachable time for kids. We encourage the need to do good for others who might have less than we do as we donate food, toys, money and help in our communities and beyond. We do this on overdrive in November and December because these months are within the “season of giving.” And while I wish this was more of a year-round notion; I still jump on board with my own three kids to embrace the season as a time to do for others with no expectation of gain. Many of the best ways to help others costs nothing at all, aside from some time and effort.
Glen Rose- After its 50th anniversary, Dinosaur Valley State Park staff honored the LDL Friends of Dinosaur Valley State Park for their decades of hard work. State Representative Shelby Slawson of District 59 signed a state resolution celebrating the LDL members and formally supporting the group’s efforts in preserving, protecting, and enhancing the park for the community’s enjoyment.

Shadow is a pretty self-sufficient girl that usually only wants attention on her terms. She is not a huge fan of being held, and will usually growl to voice her discomfort. She does like cuddling in bed. She does not like the other cats that are around her, so may do best as the only cat. Shadow is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped.
