After a tough match-up Tuesday against one of the top teams in the state in Robinson, the Honeybees rallied to win their first district match of the season against Graham.

Stephenville actually started off on what some may call the wrong foot as they dropped the first set 22-25. However, that woke up the Honeybees as they went on to win the next three 27-25, 25-21 and 25-21 to begin district play with a 1-0 record.

The four game match saw several Honeybees rack up some big time stats. Three Stephenville players recorded double digits in kills, including Mikayla Hobbs and Nicona Stillwell with 10 and Kourtney Seaton with 13. Junior Kylee Ponder recorded a ridiculous amount of digs as she lead the team with 31. Taylor Garber and Chelsea Gillespie also combined for a total of 39 assists in the match.

The Honeybees next game will come Tuesday at home when Mineral Wells comes to visit for Teacher Appreciation Day.
