STEPHENVILLE - A graveside service for Hugh Antoine, 84, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 1, at Smith Springs Cemetery in Stephenville with Barry Hogan officiating. Services are under direction of Stephenville Funeral Home.
Hugh was born in Paris, Texas to Hugh Antoine, Sr. and Oma Mae Sasser Antoine. He received his BA in 1954, MEd in 1955, and his EdD in 1967 from North Texas State University in education and psychology. He taught several years at Tarleton State, and served his country in the U. S. Army during Korea.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Padgett Antoine of Laguna Park; son, Terry and wife Carmen Antoine of Decatur; and their children, Dylan and wife Ashley of Bella Vista, AR, and Megan and husband Israel Lozano of Decatur; daughter, Linda Moser of Stephenville, and her sons, Chris Moser and Tanner Moser both of Stephenville; daughter, Debbie and husband Randall Robertson of Bastrop, and their children, Chelsi and husband Frankie Mihatsch of Temple, Chais Robertson of Bastrop, and Chandler Robertson of College Station; and daughter, Darla Antoine of Waco; and six great grandchildren.
The Antoine family wishes expressions of sympathy be made in the form of donations to the American Heart Assn., St. Jude’s Cancer Research, or Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.
