Erath County remains under a flash flood watch through Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service issued the watch Thursday for North Central Texas and Northeast Texas.
"Several upper level disturbances will work upon a very moist and unstable atmosphere (Thursday) and into part of the weekend," the advisory states. "Soils across the watch area continue to remain saturated for the most part. In addition, many rivers and lakes are at capacity. Any additional heavy rainfall will run off quickly causing flash flooding or aggravate ongoing river flooding."
An additional 1 to 3 inches of rain is expected.
Other counties in the watch include Comanche, Dallas, Eastland, Hood and Somervell.
Forecasters say things will begin drying out early next week.
