Valley Grove Baptist Church is hosting its first-ever Family Fun Fair from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, May 31, at Stephenville City Park's Birdsong Amphitheater.
“It’s a gift from the church to the community,” said Ward Hayes, senior pastor at Valley Grove, “so everything about it is free. We’re going to have several different booths and activities, but it’s an opportunity for families to come out, have a great place of fun and us as a church to give back and interact with the community.”
A fajita supper with drinks and dessert will be available at no cost. Hayes said the church is planning to feed between 750 and 1,000 people.
There will also be bounce houses, an inflatable obstacle course, face painting, games with prizes and live music.
“We’ll have an archery place set up and the kids and adults can shoot bows and arrows,” Hayes said. “We’re actually looking at starting an archery ministry lessons in the fall, so this will help us get that word out to everybody.”
There will also be a celebrity dunking booth featuring Tab Thompson, Bob Cervetto, Cary Fowler, Matt Underwood, Lonn Reisman, Greg Winder, Greg Hardcastle and Pat Ponder.
“I think it’ll be a fun time for everybody,” Hayes said. “We’d just love for families to come and hang out with us and have a good time."
