There is a possibility of heavy rain Monday around the time of the Memorial Day ceremony that's scheduled for the West End Cemetery at 9 a.m..

Asked if there is an alternative plan should that occur, Roger Easter, Adjutant and Historian of the Turnbow-Higgs American Legion Post 240 said, "It will be a judgment call and based on how severe and dangerous the weather will be. A light rain will not prevent us from presenting the program at the cemetery.  Having umbrellas and ponchos on hand is encouraged."

Should severe weather conditions prevail the event will be located at the American Legion Post Hall building at 801 East Washington. Parking is in the rear, or north side of building.

Personnel will be posted at the cemetery to announce location change and direct public to the hall.
