Dublin police officials said they are not at all concerned about this weekend's motorcycle rally at Dublin City Park.
Sgt. Bennie Noel said the city is expecting hundreds of motorcycle enthusiasts affiliated with the Gypsy Motorcycle Club and their families during the holiday weekend.
"We have talked to their president and have no reason to believe there will be any trouble," Noel said. "They had nothing to do with what happened in Waco."
Waco is still reeling from last weekend's brawl between rival motorcycle gangs that left nine people dead.
A rally in Mingus scheduled this weekend was canceled following increased concerns that more violence could take place.
But Noel said he doesn't see that happening in Dublin and will allow this weekend's rally to go on as planned.
The group has rented out the park through Sunday and will stay there in campers and hotels in the city.
Noel said there will be no increased police presence at the event.
Sheriff Tommy Bryant said Thursday that Dublin officials have not reached out to them for any additional support.
