FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — Four children have been slightly hurt when two school buses from a Central Texas district collided while bound for a band festival in Dallas.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused one Robinson Independent School District bus to apparently rear-end the other Friday in Fort Worth.
MedStar EMS spokesman Matt Zavadsky (zuh-VAD'-skee) says one child has minor injuries and was transported to a hospital to be checked out. Three other children with lesser injuries were treated at the scene.
Superintendent Michael Hope says the junior high band students from Robinson, near Waco, were headed to a festival in Dallas. He says the district was sending other buses to transport the children home, skipping the event.
A third Robinson ISD bus was with the group but not involved in the wreck.
