Brooklynn Fergason, a Stephenville High School senior, is an EPIC club member helping to change the future and has played soccer since she was a little girl. Her plan after graduation is to attend college and become a neonatal nurse.
“I just love playing soccer,” she said. “I’m going to play intermurals for sure and we might have an indoor team this summer.”
She will soon head to college with plans to make good grades and get into nursing school.
“I’m going to Texas State University in San Marcos,” Fergason said. “I want to be a neonatal nurse. I love babies and I love helping people.”
A neonatal nurse works with newborns that have a range of problems, such as prematurity, infection, cardiac issues, birth defects and surgical problems.
“Their nursing campus is in Round Rock, so I’ll have to move after two years,” she said. “I’ll probably want to live in the Austin area after that.”
