With Christmas approaching, Tarleton State University plans its 21st Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Showcase to support local businesses and artisans on Friday, Dec. 5.
Hosted in the Barry B. Thompson Student Center ballrooms, the doors open for shoppers from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m.
This year’s event offers a chance to shop favorite returning vendors as well as new ones. More than 40 multi-talented vendors will have tables to sell a variety of arts, crafts and tasty treats.
According to Ben Kunze, Tarleton Staff Council president, holiday shoppers will find a variety of fare including woodcrafts, essential oils, unique jewelry, home décor, beauty products, cookware, and jams and jellies, to name a few.
“It’s going to be a great and exciting year,” Kunze said. “We have a great vendor turnout projected this year and we hope to see our faculty, staff, students and community come out and support these local businesses.”
The annual event sponsored by the Tarleton Staff Council supports the employee scholarships and grants program.
