Stephenville slipped to 1-2 on the young basketball season Saturday with a 47-43 non-district loss to Springtown.

Tyler Griffin led the offensive charge for the ‘Jackets with 19 points, including a pair of three-pointers.

Eight of Griffin’s total came in Stephenville’s 19-point second quarter burst that gave the  ‘Jackets a 28-22 advantage at the half.

Coach Jonanthan Normand’s squad is back in action Tuesday with a road trip to take on Comanche in their last game prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Joining the Yellow Jackets for a last hoops blast before the break are the SHS Honeybees, who are also at Comanche; the Hico Tigers and Lady Tigers, both at Dublin; the Huckabay girls, who visit Graford while the Huckabay boys host Peaster; and both Lingleville squads are home against De Leon.
