The pools for the upcoming Texas State 7-on-7 Tournament were released last weekend and the Yellow Jackets were placed with challenging company including a past champion and two first-time attendees.

Pool M was where Stephenville was drawn along with the Celina Bobcats, Robinson Rockets and the Rockport-Fulton Pirates.

Celina is the only other program in the pool other than Stephenville with state 7-on-7 experience. Their program's resume is one of the best, having won four state titles, the most recent in 2012.

Rockport-Fulton and Robinson are both traveling to College Station to take part in the tournament for the first time.

Stephenville is making its tenth tournament appearance with their best finish being a trip to the semi-finals in 1998.

Also accompanying the Yellow Jackets in College Station will be the Glen Rose Tigers and the Dublin Lions.

The Tigers were placed in Pool C with Melissa, Shepherd and Wimberly and the Lions drew Pool F with Argyle, Crockett and Sealy.

The Division II tournament gets underway Thursday, July 10, at 1 p.m. Stephenville's first match-up won't take place until 2 p.m. with their other two games starting at 4 and 6 p.m.

Consolation and championship bracket play begins Friday at 8 a.m.

All games will take place at the Veterans Park and Athletic Complex in College Station.
