The NFL is a farfetched dream for most, but local saw firsthand Saturday at the Student of the Game: Cody Davis Youth Football Camp, that dream can become a reality.

"Being in the position I'm in, I don't want want to bring attention to myself, I just want to use this platform to help the kids learn the game," said St. Louis Rams and former Yellow Jacket safety Cody Davis.

Campers engaged in numerous drills Saturday with Davis and local coaches including Stephenville head coach Joseph Gillespie and Dublin head coach Bob Cervetto.

"One thing I love about this is getting a lot of my old coaches together for a day," Davis said. "We all get to teach the kids and give them a great experience, we really enjoy that."

Kids went through drills learning and sharpening fundamentals and also enjoyed some touch football, something that Davis says is enjoyable.

"Playing with the kids is a blast," he said. "The kids are a lot of fun and have a lot of energy. They're the ones wearing me out. It's fun teaching them the little things and setting up a foundation for football where they can learn and have fun."
