Services for Mitchell "Mickey" Anthony, 75, will be held Wednesday, June 25 at 10 a.m. at the Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel located at 7301 E. Lancaster in Ft. Worth.

Anthony was born in Johnson County and spent his school years in Kennedale and graduated from Trimble Tech in Fort Worth. Soon after that is when he married his lifelong love, Rebecca McLeroy. And Becky was at his side until the moment he passed. Mitchell worked as a brick mason all of his life and for 34 years shared the job site with his son, Monty. In his younger days he enjoyed hunting and vacationing with his family, later it was cows and the garden and playing with his grandchildren. The last few years Mitch and Becky spent traveling in their trailer making friends from everywhere and carving. He loved to carve and won many awards with his talent. This May, he celebrated 41 years sober in Alcoholics Anonymous.

Mitch was a member of Palo Pinto County Cowboy Church. We will all miss his spirited nature, sense of humor and loving heart. He was preceded in death by his father, H.J. Anthony; mother, Gladys Cline Anthony; sister, Peggy June Higdon; and great-grandson, Kaleb Robert Fink. He was survived by his wife, Rebecca; son, Monty and wife, Shelly; daughter, Merit Fink and husband, Gary; grandchildren, Kelle and Damian Haller, Joshua and Kristina Fink, Nathan and Megan Fink, and Kori and Jason Norris; four great-granddaughters; and four great-grandsons.
