The search is all but finished for the new superintendent of Stephenville ISD as the board of trustees will name their lone finalist on Tuesday. The district finished their second round of candidate interviews earlier this month after inviting back two possible choices.
"We will name a finalist Tuesday," said board president Dr. Ann Calahan. "We're very excited; excited for the district and the community. It's been an interesting process. The board has worked very well together. It's been a growing process for all of us and we're excited about not only the new superintendent, but also the relationships we've built upon on the board."
Calahan also mentioned that the board’s decision to name the finalist was unanimous.
The board will also discuss other positions throughout the district including the employment of an assistant principal at Henderson Junior High and will consider the retirement of Chamberlin Elementary principal Barry Cavitt.
