Playing at Stephenville City Park for the first time, Cowboy Capital Rollergirls (CCR) beat Louisiana’s Acadiana Roller Girls 358-241. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit Stephenville Historical House Museum.

“Have floor, will travel,” said CCR coach Gillotine Grace (Ashley Gill), referring to the league’s portable sport court used in last Saturday’s game.  “You’ve seen us skate at Lone Star Arena, Dublin City Park and now Stephenville City Park, we are excited about this new venue!”

Skaters voluntarily spend hours setting up the track before games then tear it down afterwards all in an effort to raise money for other local charities. “We get to help others in our community by playing a sport we love, it’s awesome,” said CCR captain Little Tank LuLu (Edith Luna).

Besides being their first time at the City Park, CCR also had several new skaters in the line-up.

Welcome Junkyard Vixen (Melissa Weir) who played in her debut bout after completing the Rookie2Roster program, Cajun Cutthroat (Crystal Young) and CoCo SheNailHer (Jackye McAnn-Crumley) who both returned to the track for the first time this season.
