The first meeting of the post-election Dublin City Council was held Tuesday with the swearing in of four recently-elected members at the top of the agenda. City Secretary Rhonda Williams administered the oath of office to Darrell Curry, Layne Golden, Jimmy Leatherwood and Fred Lisso.

Outgoing member Gaylon Craddock was awarded a commemorative plaque for his years of dedicated service to the city of Dublin by Mayor David Leatherwood. In addition, Councilman Jimmy Leatherwood was appointed Mayor Pro Tem by the mayor.

Other items discussed and approved were mandatory council training, renewal of the city’s health insurance with RHA, renewing the Volunteer Pool Operator Agreement with Lee Leatherwood, acceptance of revisions to the Lifeguard Handbook and the adoption of the revised Drought Contingency Plan.
