STEPHENVILLE - Services for Peggy Louise Carver Hancock, 86, a homemaker, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lacy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Neil Wade officiating. Burial will follow at Erath Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Lacy Funeral Home.
Peggy was born in Big Spring to Ambrose Floyd Moore and Virginia Lee (Johnson) Moore. She married James Milton Carver Sr. on Nov. 2, 1946, in Big Spring. He preceded her in death on Feb. 25, 1992. She then married Lawrence Hancock on March 31, 2007, in Stephenville.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Hancock of Stephenville; daughter, Connie Williams and husband, George, of Stephenville; son, James M. Carver Jr. and wife, Carolee, of Midland; stepchildren, Mike Hancock and wife, Sandy, and John Hancock and wife, Cathy; brother, Bennett Moore and wife, Wanda, of Garden City; grandchildren, Mellissa Barlow and husband, Kent, Jeremy James Carver, Christina Wren and husband, Klint, Shannon Jackson and husband, Bobby, and Tiffany Hawkins and husband, Shawn; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Bailey, Jackson, Elah Grace and Keller.
