The weekend is finally here and the E-T has you covered with our top five things to do in the area! Make it a good one, and TGIF!

1. God and Country Music Concert

The Erath County Veterans will host a concert honoring veterans at 7 p.m. Friday. Performers include award-winning artists Russ Murphy and Barry Ward. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for kids and veterans are free of charge. The event will be held at the Community Life Center on Hwy. 67, about 1/8 of a mile from Hard 8 BBQ.

2. Craft Beer Party at Legends Country Club

For $20 a person or $30 a couple you can grub down on a fajita buffet, taste three craft beer samples and enjoy live music by the Accidental Band Saturday night starting at 6 p.m. All proceeds benefit Erath County Habitat for Humanity.

3. Fire It Up team roping

Lone Star Arena will welcome some of the most talented ropers around as they compete for a new Dodge Ram crew-cab dually diesel and 3-horse slant trailer. Roping begins at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

4. Keep Stephenville Beautiful Garden Tour

Join the cause in helping keep Stephenville looking great by attending the biggest fundraiser for the non-profit organization. The tour will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased at Greenmaker Nursery, Scott's Flowers and Chamber of Commerce.

5. Stay cool at Splashville

The best way to keep cool this summer is finally open for the summer from 1:30-6:30 p.m. daily. Admission is $5.
