Hurrah for Morgan Mill!
The student of the month for May is kindergartner, Preslea Elston. Coloring is her favorite thing about school. She has learned her ABCs, to count to 100, and all of her “blue cards.” Galveston, to the beach, is her family’s destination for their summer vacation. Her words of wisdom for the next year kindergartners are “it is going to be fun.” She is an “All Star Student” and is a delight to teach according to Mrs. Kimple. Proud mom and dad are Randi and Chris Elston. Mrs. Kimple said that she has nine kindergartners enrolled for next year. If you know of any five year olds who need to enroll, tell them to call the school office. They will need to show the child’s social security card, birth certificate, and shot records. This is the last “Milling Around” for a couple of months. Be sure to mark your calendars for these special dates. Senior Citizens for the summer: June 5 is Joyce Hillin and her group of performers; June 19 is the state of education talk by MM Superintendent Dean Edwards; and July 3 is being planned by Debra Parker. The rest of the programs are to be arranged.

A little movement is good for everybody.
There is going to be a Dean Minix fundraiser on June 27 at the Community Center. Dean is making progress, but his recovery is going to be long and tedious. The plans are to have a BBQ dinner with entertainment. Watch the post office and the MM store for more details. Have an enjoyable summer.
