Seventeen-year-old David Jackson is already training for his future. The Stephenville High School senior spends his free time training for his future career as a Navy SEAL or hunting and shooting.

The son of Rachel and Mike Jones said after graduation he plans to attend Tarleton State University, then study medicine at Texas A&M. After completing his studies, Jackson said he's headed to the Navy.

"Those guys are the most elite warriors out there," Jackson said of his goal of becoming a SEAL. "It's the greatest challenge I could imagine and I want to complete it and fight alongside those men."

1. What are some of your extracurricular activities?

I played varsity football and had the honor of playing on the state championship team. I like to ride dirt bikes and compete in races. I also compete in Spartan races. They're like obstacle course races that help me train as well.

2. What advice would you give incoming freshmen?

To not be intimidated when they walk through those doors. Everyone here is the same. They've all grown up around here and just want to get the same education you do. Don't take anything for granted, not for a second, because it goes so fast.

3. What is the most fun you've had this year?

I'd have to say finishing out my senior football season with all my friends.

4. Who is your craziest classmate?

Jacob Lewis, for sure. He always says whatever is on his mind or whatever will make people laugh. He always has something to say.
