Dublin's boys and girls combined for 21 top-six finishes at the Redskin Relays hosted by Comanche High School last Friday.

Corey Kendall highlighted the day with the lone victory for Dublin in the boys 300 meter hurdles. He won in 41.37 seconds.

Devan Thompson and Brady Holleman had second-place finishes. Thompson cleared 5 feet, 8 inches in the high jump for eight points, and Holleman scored the same for running the 400 meter in 54.96 seconds.

Jesse Towers was third in the 3,200 meter run for the Lions, completing the eight laps in 12 minutes, 14.80 seconds. He was also fourth in the 1,600 in 5:31.00.

Kendall was a part of three more fourth place finishes, one by himself for leaping 17-7 in the long jump, and two as a relay anchor. He joined Arturo Zuniga, Ricky Chacon and Holleman to run 1:38.21 in the 4x200, and ran with Zunica, Holleman and Isaac Campos to finish the 4x400 in 3:40.78.

Ishmael Torres was fifth in the discus at 118-3 and Zuniga sixth in the 200 meter in 24.68.

Brianna Hatcher had the highest finish for the Lady Lions, taking second in the discus at 93-4. She was followed in the event by teammate Whitney Weems, who was fifth at 79-6.

Hatcher's throwing success didn't stop in the disc ring. She was also sixth in the shot put at 28-4, finishing two inches behind teammate Dederia Berry's fifth-place heave of 28-6.

The 4x400 meter relay of Sydney Beck, Amber James, Mariah Sojourner and London Jones came in third in 4:27.12. Jones did not arrive from her Lady Lion softball game in time to run her signature event, the 400 meter.

Also finishing third was Melisa Martinez in the 3,200 with a time of 14:15.40. She was fourth in the 1,600 in 6:25.97.

Sojourner, Jazmin Zapata, Feliza Martinez and James took fourth in the 4x200 in 1:57.98, and James and Ana Martinez were fourth and fifth in the 800, stopping the clock in 2:49.79 and 2:51.72, respectively.

James was also fourth in the high jump at 4-4.
