Stephenville raced to 183 points and the championship in the 3A girls division of the Bluebonnet Relays in Brownwood Saturday.

The Honeybees won the 4x400 meter on their way to 48 relay points, and Bayleigh Chaviers won the 800m, the event she won at state last year.

The 4x400 team of Caitlin Erck, Hannah Mabry, Ashtin Ivey and Bayleigh Chaviers finished in 4 minutes, 8.10 seconds, and Chaviers stopped the clock in the 800 in 2:24.81.

Kylee Ponder, Mabry, Madison Hill and Chaviers were second in the 4x200 in 1:48.70, and Ponder, Ivey, Mabry and Hill were third in the 4x100 in 51.12 seconds.

The Bees showed their depth in several events, placing three competitors in the top six in the discus, high jump and 300 hurdles, and two in the top six in three other events.

Morgan Harmon was second in the 300 hurdles in 49.08, with teammates Mady McLaury (fourth, 49.68) and Mikayla Hobbs (fifth, 51.60) right on her heels.

Kaleigh Conger, Cashell and Ebony Green were third, fourth and sixth, respectively, in the high jump. Conger and Cashell cleared 4 feet, 10 inches and Green jumped 4-6.

In the discus, Nadine Arredondo was third at 85-7, Kourtney Seaton fourth at 82-4 and Meagan Franz fifth at 78-2.

Ivey and Erck were second and fourth in the 400, with Ivey finishing in 1:02.30 and Erck in 1:05.26. Hill and Ponder provided another 2-4 finish, this one in the 100. Hill was second in 13.00, Ponder fourth in 13.22.

Lariat Larner was second in the triple jump at 33-7 and third in long jump at 16-0-1/4. Harmon took second in the long jump at 16-3-1/2.

In addition to her relay duties, Cashell was third in the 200 in 27.80. Monika Perez was sixth in the 3,200 in 13:01.15.

The Bees run in the Possum Kingdom Relays in Graham this Saturday.
