GRANBURY- There will be a memorial service for Charles Alan (Charlie) Norris, 31, at 2 p.m. on Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury, Mike Hannah officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the memorial service at Wiley Funeral Home. Grave site services will be at Acton Cemetery at a later time for family only.

He was born at Ft. Hood to Larry and Rebecca Norris. Charlie lived in Apple Valley, Minn. with his family for all of his childhood where he graduated from Rosemount, Minn. High School in 2000. He later moved back home to Texas where he met and married the love of his life Samantha Smith-Norris on June 24, 2010 in Granbury. They had one son Benjamin Gray who was his pride and joy.

Charlie made his profession of faith in Jesus Christ at the age of nine and is now residing for eternity in heaven with his Lord and Savior. He was a kind, sensitive and caring man who loved his family more than anything else in the world. He also had a deep love for music and history that carried him through many trials. He was incredibly intelligent and astute at seeing the true heart of a matter. Charlie was a lifelong devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He also attended Tarleton State University in Stephenville.

Charlie is survived by his loving wife Samantha and son Benjamin of Granbury, father and mother Larry and Becky Norris of Dublin, father-in-law Leonard Smith of Sunset, sister Valerie Norris of San Antonio, sister-in-law Brittany Smith-Kraus of Stephenville, grandfather William (Sy) Norris, Jr. and wife Anastatia of Dublin, grandmother Shirley Perrin of Carlton, uncle Bill Norris and wife Mary of Dublin, aunt Sheryl Akins and husband Don of Benbrook, uncle Mark Perrin and wife Teresa of Gardner, Kan. and several cousins and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Shirley Mae Norris in 2001 and grandfather Charles Robert (Bob) Perrin in 2013.
