There are still a few tickets left for the 2014 Dublin Chamber Banquet on Monday, Feb. 3, at Dublin High School. The program and dinner will begin at 7 p.m. But don't wait until then to come out. The Dublin High School Jazz Band will perform at 6:30 p.m.
Chamber Executive Director Luanne Schexnider said the event will include dinner, inspiring speakers and wonderful networking opportunities. The host for the evening will be Dublin Band Director Justin Stabach and dinner will be served by Granny Clark's.
Be sure and bring your checkbook and the will to win because chamber members and local businesses have donated tons of exciting items for the silent auction, which will be set up in the foyer. In addition to winning auction items, all in attendance will get to vote for the winning table decorations.
The winning table will receive 100 Dublin Dollars for their efforts.
Speakers for the evening will include Tony Guidroz, San Saba EDC director, and Stan Weik, San Saba city manager. They will talk about this year's theme, "Sharing the Dream," and making Dublin the best it can be.
And speaking of the best, the 2014 Dublin Chamber awards will also be presented including Citizen of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and more. Miss Dublin 2013, Christian Rodriguez, will help present the awards and unveil the 2014 Dublin Chamber Plaque. DHS National Honor Society members will also volunteer.
Tickets are $18 for members and $20 for non-members. They can be purchased at Dublin City Hall or the Dublin Chamber of Commerce offices. For more information, contact Schexnider at 445-3422.
"It's going to be a really fun time and we hope the community comes out to join us and support their fellow citizens and businesses," Schexnider said.
