Robert VanKranenburg topped 2,000 career points and Lingleville won four games in four days this week, including 105-71 track meet against Oglesby in the championship of Morgan's tournament Saturday.

The Cardinals (7-1) had a Tuesday game postponed to Wednesday and slammed Ranger 91-44. They defeated Iredell 60-44 Thursday, Aquilla 78-51 Friday and Ogles by on Saturday.

VanKranenburg scored 127 points over the four games and has 2,023 for his career. The returning all-state guard netted 33 in the final against Oglesby after pouring in 32 in the semifinal bout with Aquilla.

In the championship, Rupert Huerta scored 16 for Lingleville and joined VanKranenburg on the bench after three quarters and 89 points. Lingleville scored 34 in the first, 26 in the second and 29 in the third.

Hendrick Huisman scored nine for the Cards, Tucker Click eight Bart VanKranenburg seven and  Rodriguez three.

In the semifinals, Tim Griffin and Bart VanKranenburg joined Robert in double figures with 11 each. Huerta and Colby Stoker each had six, Jayden Stoker five, Huisman two and Tucker Click two.

Lingleville hosts Priddy at 8 p.m. Tuesday following a 6:30 p.m. girls contest.
