It appears that not everyone has embraced the holiday spirit.
Thieves managed to nab four characters from a nativity scene that was donated to Faith Lutheran Church. The items went missing several days ago and a report has been filed with Stephenville police.
Doug Hanna and his family donated the nativity to the church four years ago in memory of his in-laws - Gary and Pat Boggs. He noticed the pieces were missing one morning as he drove his son to school.
"I glanced over and they were gone," he said. "I always knew something like this could happen, but it never has."
Church member Javier Garza said the congregation just wants the items returned - and is not seeking any type of punishment.
"We just want them back," Garza said. "We hope this (story) will prompt whoever took them to return them in the night. It's a shame this happened at Christmas."
So if you have baby Jesus, return him to his manger where he belongs.
