Due to end-of-the-year time constraints, Stephenville High School is unable to hold a pep rally this week to send their baseball players off in grand style to regional championship games to be played in Abilene Thursday and possibly Friday.

So in order to show school-wide backing, Principal Travis Stilwell is allowing students to wear a baseball cap all day Wednesday.

Baseball boosters are selling team caps on campus for $15 with proceeds going toward expenses accrued by the team.

“They can wear them at school,” Administrative Assistant Afton Varnado said. “This is to show our support of the team as they head for the regional finals.”

Varnado said there are plenty of caps to sell.

“People can just come to the front office,” she said.
