Tarleton had 10 athletes named all-region in 12 event by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
On the men's side, eight Texans received the honors with freshman Cameron Krc being named all-region in two events while Danyelle Dillard and Nikki McNorton earned the honors for the women with McNorton receiving recognition in two events.
Krc was named all-region in the 400m and 4x400m Relay. He was also joined by the other three members of the Tarleton 4x400m relay - Clarencio Guerrero, Phillip Hayes and Marquis Thompson.
LSC Champion 800m runner and national qualifier, Chase Rathke earned the honor in the 800m while senior Jeff Smith was named all-region in the 400m Hurdles.
Texan high jumpers Davene Carter and Travis Allison were also named all-region. Carter qualified for the national championship this week.
On the women's side, Dillard was named an all-region shot putter while McNorton won the honors in the high jump and 100m Hurdles. Both TexAnns will be competing in the national championship meet this week in Pueblo, Colo.
A total of 1,283 student-athletes have earned a total of 1,836 USTFCCCA All-Region honors. The USTFCCCA regions for track & field match those used for NCAA Cross Country Championships.
