It looks like new Dublin school board members will have to wait to become official. With reports of tornados in Brown County and storm systems moving through the area Monday night, Dublin ISD officials announced they were postponing the regularly scheduled board meeting.

The board will meet at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, May 24, to canvass the votes in the May 11 election. The meeting will be held at the Dublin ISD administration offices, which are located at 420 N. Camden Street.

The regular board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 27, in the Dublin High School library. At this time the new board members, Pat Leatherwood and Sue Lewis, will be sworn in and will continue an ongoing tradition of honoring outgoing members. Those to be honored are current president Daniel Thiebaud and James Moore.

Also to be recognized are top students in the Accelerated Reader program, Jr. High and Intermediate School students who are members of the Future Problem Solvers, Dublin FFA Reserve Grand Champion Dairy team, track athlete London Jones and retirees for the 2012-2013 school year.
