As severe weather makes its way into the area, Stephenville ISD and Dublin ISD are giving parents the option of an early release at 1:15 p.m. today.

Radar shows that severe weather is scheduled to arrive in Stephenville at approximately 2:45 p.m.

Those while wish to pick their child can come sign them out at the students' school.

If you would like your child to remain at school, Dr. Darrell Floyd said SISD will keep them as safe as possible by implementing the tornado safety plan from approximately 2:45 p.m. until the storm passes. Afternoon bus schedules will be delayed until the storm passes.  SISD anticipates buses to be able to begin running their afternoon routes at roughly 4-4:15 p.m.

For secondary students who drive their own vehicles, parents will need to call the school and provide permission for their child to leave in their own vehicle beginning at 1:15 p.m.
