Agapito Huerta is an 18-year-old senior at Lingleville ISD and a member of the Cardinals' basketball and football teams. The son of Agapito and Laura Huerta said he plans to attend Tarleton State University after graduation, then plans to transfer to Texas Tech in Lubbock to study physical therapy. Huerta took time from his busy schedule to answer three questions as this week's A-List Student.

1. With shootings and bombings across the country, do you worry about the same happening in Erath County?

Those things are scary enough, but when you think about everything that's happened here in the last few months you can really get worried. I mean there were the murders and the robberies, that seems bad enough.

2. How do you feel about the potential for your teachers and administrators carrying concealed weapons?

With everything that's been happening in schools across the country and in the area I think it's a good thing for teachers to have weapons. They could stop a shooter if that ever happened here.

3. Who is your biggest influence?

My biggest influence would have to be Coach (Justin) Del Bosque. He's the best motivator and a great guy in general. I look up to him a lot.
