Although fall is officially underway, warm weather has prevented us from wrapping up in a sweater with a steaming cup of cocoa to enjoy the beauty of a new season.

But that's all about to change.

A cold front is expected to reach North Texas this weekend giving us the first blast of cool air we've seen in months. And while you enjoy the change in weather, we've put together a list of things that will keep you busy this weekend.

1. Pearl Street Rhythm at Bluff Dale Vineyards

Come out to the Bluff Dale Vineyards for a free concert by Pearl Street Rhythm at 4 p.m. Saturday. They play a mix of classic rock with a little jazz. So bring a friend and a picnic, but no beverages. For more information contact (254) 728-3540.

2. Exhibit Opal Black and students at CTFAC

The Cross Timbers Fine Arts Council will host the grand opening of an exhibit by Opal Black and students at 9 a.m. Saturday at the CTFAC River North Gallery. The exhibit will be on display through Oct. 27.

3. Bluegrass fest started pickin' Thursday in Glen Rose

For many, bluegrass music is a family tradition. Those traditions will take the stage at Oakdale Park this weekend as 10 acts perform at the Third Annual Paluxy Fall Bluegrass Festival through Saturday. The Roys will appear at  1:45 p.m. and 8 p.m. Friday. Randy Waller & The Country Gentlemen play at 4 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. Saturday.
