Hurrah for Morgan Mill!

You are invited to dinner and music Monday at the Morgan Mill School Cafeteria provided by the students of Morgan Mill School. This year’s annual Spring Concert will be something very special. Morgan Mill students will not only entertain you with their musical talent, but you will be able to enjoy a spaghetti dinner at the same time. The food is free, but donations will be accepted to benefit the Bowling Family to help them rebuild after everything was destroyed by the recent fire. Reece and Luke Bowling both graduated from Morgan Mill and their family members have been dedicated supporters of our school. Spaghetti, salad, bread, a drink and dessert are being provided by the staff and 8th grade students of Morgan Mill School.

The schedule of events includes: 5 p.m. the serving begins. This event can be “a come and go” or “a come and stay.” The kindergarten and first grade will perform at 6. Following at 6:30, the second, third, and fourth grades will sing. Starting at 6:45, the fifth and sixth grade band will begin their performance. At 7 , the 7th and 8th grade bands will perform. Be sure to get to the cafeteria before 7:30 when serving ends. Please make plans to join the school in their Spring Concert and help our neighbors in need. Everyone is invited.

The Morgan Mill Sports Association is almost finished with their 2012 season of T-ball and softball for ages 3-17. Approximately 70 kids participated in this year’s fun. We want to thank the Stephenville Optimist Club for purchasing the needed pitching machine for this year’s group. With so many kids it is hard to get pitching practice to everyone.

Thursday, May 24, is Morgan Mill kindergarten and 8th grade graduation. This year 14 kindergartners and nine eighth graders will walk down the aisle at the Morgan Mill Baptist Church at 7 p.m. This graduation program is a copy of any small town graduation when the students describe their class history, their class will, and their class prophecy. Three of these 8th graders have been together since kindergarten. It will be fun to hear what stories that they have to tell this year. Their graduation party will follow in the Community Center.

If you are hungry for fresh vegetables, the Grower’s Market is open this weekend in Stephenville. They will also take your excess veggies and sell them. On the grounds of the museum, come buy from local farmers.
