E-T Staff Report
The Cross Timbers Human Resource Management Association will present a seminar for “Today’s People and Today’s Business,” on Wednesday, Sept. 15.
The seminar will be held from 11 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Tarleton State University Dining Hall, located at 1351 W. Vanderbilt in Stephenville.
CTHRMA promises the seminar will be both motivational and informative as the guest speakers Kathryn Childers and Lon Williams share their vast knowledge and experiences.
Childers was one of the first female United States Secret Service Agents, a veteran broadcast journalist and producer, award-winning community advocate, author and founder of her own publishing company. According to a CTHRMA press release, Childers’ “Do it Scared!” keynote and workshops coaches audiences to face challenges “dead-on and arm themselves to ‘life’s ‘shoulda, coulda, woulda’s’ in the dust!”
Williams is a partner with Bracewell & Giuliana and he advises, counsels and trains management on employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, equal employment opportunity, occupational safety and health, wage and hour, labor relations and other employment related issues. He has more than 25 years of human resources, labor and employment law experience in corporations and law firms.
The cost is $35 per person, $25 for CTHRMA members and $15 for students. The admission fee includes the seminar and a meal.
The registration deadline is Friday, Sept. 10.
