GRANBURY — Sue Spivey, 64, passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, in Fort Worth after waging a courageous battle with amyloidysis, a rare blood disorder.
Funeral services will held at 3 p.m. today in Holly Hills Mausoleum Chapel.
Mrs. Spivey was born July 20, 1945, in Seymour to B.F. and Jewell Dodd Tucker. She married George Spivey, April 21, 1978, in Brownfield. She was a longtime employee of GTE. Mrs. Spivey was a member of the First Baptist Church in Seymour and most enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include, daughters, Patti Miller and husband, Terry, of Dublin, Cindee Goodwin and husband, Ray, of Early; grandchildren, Sadee Kello and husband, Scott, of Lubbock, Slaten Miller and Callen Miller, both of Fort Worth, Landen Miller of Stephenville, Tyler Goodwin of Early; parents, B.F. and Nell Tucker of Seymour; sisters, Donna Spikes and husband, Guy, of Seymour, Daphna Simpson and husband, Bob, of Mansfield; brothers, Charles Tucker of Burlington, Colo., John Edd Nelson and wife, Donnie Gay, of Seymour; and numerous nieces, nephews and additional family members.
