Tarletonís Brittany Terry has been named the Lone Star Conference South Division Co-Hitter of the Week for her efforts last week on the softball diamond.
The junior third baseman from Crowley shares the award this week with Angelo Stateís Sandy James.
Terry led the TexAnns this week with a .500 batting average, going eight-of-16 with six home runs, nine runs batted in and nine runs scored. She had 26 total bases and a 1.625 slugging percentage. In the three-game sweep over Eastern New Mexico, she hit .556 after going five-of-nine with four home runs, six RBI and seven runs. She had a 1.889 slugging percentage and 17 total bases with just one strikeout and two walks.
Terry joins teammate Julie Norris to receive the Player of the Week honor. Norris was named the divisionís Pitcher of the Week on March 10.
The TexAnns, who are 20-15 overall and are in third place in the South Division with a 5-4 record, will return to action this weekend at the LSC Crossover Tournament in Durant, Okla. Tarleton will play two games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday
