Stephenville looks to be in good shape for the future as the JV Blue team left Crowley Thursday night with another victory by the final of 33-14.
The JV Jackets jumped out early by putting up 20 unanswered points before letting Crowley score twice in the third quarter.
Matt Collins started the streak with a 27-yard touchdown pass to Colt Barkley. Zack Fox turned the six points into seven with the extra point.
Barkley wasn't done there. He scored the second touchdown for Stephenville by carrying it into the end zone from seven yards out. Fox wasn't able to connect on the point after, bringing it to 13-0.
The Jackets scored again at the end of a 68-yard pass from Collins to Daniel Noland. Fox made the extra point, sending the Jackets into halftime with a commanding lead.
The defense gave up the first Crowley points of the game to start the third, but the Jacket offense scored a couple more touchdowns to pull away and seal the deal.
After Mason Lewis added to the score with a rushing touchdown, Cole Stokes picked off the Crowley quarterback to set up the final scoring drive of the game.
Collins hit Fox for a 28-yard touchdown to close the book on Crowley and give the Stephenville Blue Team another win. The JV Blue Jackets host Everman Thursday at Tarleton Memorial Stadium.
