NEW BRAUNFELS—Stephenville finished as fifth consolation here Saturday in the Fraulein Volleyfest.
The Bees went 4-2 in tournament action, which began Friday.
In its first match, Stephenville slipped passed Warren in four games, before meeting a juggernaut in Austin Westlake.
Westlake, ranked No. 2 in class 5A behind Amarillo, swept the Bees in two games before going on to claim the championship.
In its third Friday match, Stephenville bounced back by winning two straight games to knock off 5A Mansfield Summitt.
The Bees won two of three again Saturday, falling to Smithson Valley in their first match, before coming back to defeat another 5A squad, The Woodlands in the afternoon battle.
In the matinee match, the Bees split two games with Brenham before capturing the win in game three.
Stephenville (6-5) returns to their home floor against Abilene Tuesday. All high school teams will play, beginning at 5p.m.
