Crooked River Sod Farm was named the 2025 Stephenville Chamber Ag Producer of the Year. The award was presented by Ag Committee Chair, Gerrit Schouten, left, and Vice President Lea Contreras, right. Our Ag Producer of the Year began operations in 2010 after graduating from Tarleton State University and returning to the family farm. With a passion for farming, he sought a way to boost productivity. After extensive research and mentorship, Brady tested turf production on 50 acres, which proved successful. By 2014, the farm transitioned fully to turf, now growing Tif 419 Bermuda on 200 acres. Serving customers from Midland to Georgetown, Crooked River Sod Farm delivers fresh, high-quality turf daily.
